After waiting many years to have my own laptop that is brand new, today is the day that I have made that dream come true. I bought a new Macbook Pro 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD storage. I have been using a Macbook Pro 2012 version for the past two years, I fixed it up, maxed out the RAM in it, replaced the disk drive with a hard drive caddy for an extra hard drive, and many other small things, but it is still just too slow for me, especially sitting in class waiting 5 minutes for it just to boot up, not including having to login.

Look at this beauty.

Before I purchased it, I bought the following items:

Charger: USB C Pd Charger, RAVPower 60W
Adapter Hub: USB C Hub Adapter for MacBook Pro
Portable SSD [1TB]: SSK Mini Portable SSD

I mainly needed the USB C hub because Apple has moved to USB C only. It's really nice. The only bad thing is, it doesn't match the color of the macbook. :/

That looks absolutely spectacular, congrats.

Good choice with the SSD. I'm also running SSDs on all 7 laptops (Predators), and had to perform a cold boot last night on one system. It literally took 15 seconds to fully boot Into the Windows environment- processes, services, background tasks, all loaded.

At first, it sucked ass. For about the first few hours, it was slow and everything kept lagging and freezing up (it shutdown immediately one time right after the fan kicked on full speed for about half a second and cut off), but once I rebooted it a few times and wasn't so heavy on it by moving GB's and GB's worth of files and applications, it is treating me very well! Absolutely LOVE the touch bar. It is so efficient, especially using it to type with emoji's. I love the keyboard on it; the two downsides are the escape key is apart of the touch bar which is going to take some time getting used to, and the keys are SO different. It's 1000000000% better than my old 2012. It was about time to retire her from my everyday use. I will now use it to play movies and shows on my tv which isn't a smart tv.

As you're aware, It shouldn't freeze nor shutdown abruptly under the said conditions. Be sure to keep an eye on It.

It's probably just a one-off occurrence.

Over a decade ago, I experienced something similar with a Dell laptop. It froze a number of times and then BSOD'd. After booting It up, It was fine and never happened again.
