Just to clarify proceedings, they've approved a replacement and you'd prefer a refund Instead, correct?

No absolutely not, I stopped the claim with UPS saying that I had found the package because the delivery man was going to come to my house and I don't want my parents to know, so I stopped the DNA. I am now at point 0, and no replacement has been offered or even a refund...
I can always do another method, but as said above, dry ice is not an option for me, knowing that on the internet, the prices are quite high and I don't really have enough anymore.

Got It, now I'm with you.
The problem Is, If you change your method other than returning the goods for a legit refund and boxing them, It's very likely to raise suspicion and significantly complicate matters.

Yes, that's exactly it. PayPal claim is an option for me, but I don't know what to say or do. I absolutely want that refund. I am willing to do almost any method possible. The boxing method without the dry ice doesn't work?

The only thing that you can use via PayPal Is SNAD (Significantly Not As Described), which Is the equivalent of the wrong Item received method.

It's too heavy to box without substituting the weight.

Okay, and what is the SNAD method? Can I use it in my case? I should mention that I don't have that much money left to buy a new pair unfortunately.
Couldn't I try an EB despite the high weight? I don't know if they have cameras in place, but it's enough that they are careless and don't investigate and it could be fine. Besides, who's to say the delivery guy didn't just open the package when he got out of the truck after the scan (I don't think there are any), and steal the pair?
So my approach would be, my little cousin picked up the package on my behalf, I have not been home since, I only opened the package now and there was nothing... I recall that it has been 8 days since I received the item.

You can try It, but don't be disappointed If your claim Is declined.

Never assume their assessment.

Do you really want to put blame on the carrier driver?

Yes, so in order to make a SNAD with PayPal, I need to buy another pair from their inventory right? Please correct me if I am wrong.
Secondly, no, I absolutely do not want to blame the driver, otherwise I would not have stopped the DNA previously. The empty box method I will avoid as much as possible, because of the weight. I'm waiting for your answer about the SNAD, but if I have to buy a second pair, I can't afford it...

That Is correct.
Again, as said, SNAD Is the equivalent of the wrong Item received method.
- SNAD = Significantly Not As Described
- Wrong Item Received = Received the wrong Item
They're both titled differently, but have the same meaning.

But at 8 days interval, I doubt that this method is effective. Let's say I buy this pair now, how come it ends up at my house instead of a pair ordered two weeks ago...?
As for the dry ice method, can I use it in my case? Can I use the boxing method without dry ice?
Edit : I read your blog post: boxing without dry ice. In this one it is said that dry ice can be avoided by replacing it with tape or anything else used by the centers where the packages pass. I could consider using this method no? My package weighs 1.30 kg, according to what it says on the UPS tracking site.
