So I’ve received my New Balance delivery today. I’ve received a box with the side half ripped open and the top of it is also loose.

Do I say damaged box and empty inside or shall I hit the DNA?

No signature. Parcel left in public place for me to collect. No picture

Of course DNA is perfect here but the damaged box made me want to do different.

Although the damaged package can be claimed, there's no evidence to show that It did In fact happen In transit.

As such, the company may try and decline It. Given the circumstances of the delivery definitely favor the DNA In every way, I'd go for that.

Only reason I thought this may not be suitable is because other threads have said it is quite difficult, one stating UPS sent a letter to the house. I’ll go for that and depending on response I may say I found package opened like this in the building.

Apart from the probability of an Investigation and a PR (which Is purely company protocol), there's nothing to suggest complications with the DNA.

The package was dumped for collection without photos taken, nor the need for a signature. The circumstances are a perfect example of when the DNA should be used.

Id definitely like to avoid any PR, especially for something so small. I was thinking to say I found the parcel in the hallway opened but this would most definitely trigger a PR imo.

The DNA tends to trigger a PR regardless of most circumstances Involved.

In this case I think I may try say I found package opened downstairs & it was clearly delivered without care. What you think?

Be sure to place the package precisely where It was dropped off, and take photos of the damage.

Tell the rep/agent that the photos represent the delivery status prior to yourself handling the package.
