To be on the safe side, use the DNA method.
Yeah thats a valid point. Was just going to be a one off pair of trainers around £500. A treat for passing my final exam. Hah hah
If you do plan to use the DNA method like I did, be prepared for the delivery driver to come to your door asking questions. Flannels is a well established luxury clothing company so it'd make sense for them to be a bitch to SE (or maybe I just got the shit end of the stick for this one). The only other luxury apparel company I can recommend is END clothing which has some pretty nice Valentinos if you're into those since I've had 3 successful SEs from them. They do take the piss though.
Good luck on your exams though my guy.

And this will be the result of an Investigation opened.

In what respect have you Identified difficulties?
Human error Is Inevitable, It happens each and every day In a warehouse environment when picking & packing orders. Companies are well aware of that, but for business reasons (reputation-wise), they neglect to disclose It. This Is the primary reason why difficulties are experienced by consumers when claiming the Incorrect Item was dispatched.

The difficulty I have identified is the use of cctv? Or their threat of use of cctv in an investigation, would this not identify that the correct item had in fact been placed in the box?

Anything can happen from the time It's packed, dispatched and received.
Simply say you received the package with signs of tampering and upon opening It, It did not contain the Item you've ordered.

My plan was to have two seperate orders, addresses etc. One for a cheap pair of trainers around £170 and one for the expensive pair £500 both similar weights and carry out wrong item to make it look like a warehouse issue. Its the cctv thing putting me off i would need to look into what courier they use also.

As with every SE, the first port of call, Is to research the company In question- terms & conditions, carrier, Internal claims management and so forth.
You then prepare/formulate and execute your method based on your findings. As such, you'll make Informed decisions with the SE as a whole.
