Thank you very much for your help on that.
Let me post the email correspondence so that you can understand it better.

Hello,
Two weeks ago I purchased the Vertex Plus R2 with 120 Gigabytes SSD drive from Amazon. Upon opening
the box everything seemed in order, I plugged in the Sata and power cables, went into my BIOS and checked to see if the SSD was recognized, and it wasn't. I work with computers everyday, and have built many computers in the past, so I have more than enough experience with this kind of hardware. So, I tried the default troubleshooting strategy; I tried new cables, including out of the box Sata cables and a new power cable from my PSU. The same issue persisted. Next, I tried hooking the SSD up into my friend's computer, to which the SSD was not recognized again. As an added measure, I put the SSD in a bag full or rice on order to remove any moisture and/or wetness that might have been dealt during shipping, however I do trust Amazon and have never had an issue. With my experience I can safely say this product is either damaged or defective.

Comment: Power cycle the SSD by leaving it completely disconnected for an hour. Reconnect the SSD to your main SATA port. Go into your bios and make sure the SATA configuration is set to AHCI.
If the drive is detected in your bios, please perform a secure erase with our toolbox – http://ocz.com/consumer/download/firmware
The secure erase will wipe and reset your drive at the controller level (ALL DATA WILL BE ERASED). Reformat the drive after and let us know if it’s stable.

Then, I sent him a message saying I had left the SSD unplugged and tried all SATA cables and it still didnt work etc..
