so i did a laptop se back at December and since the logistic company is fedex so i assumed the boxing is auto failed and moved on, so at April i was cleaning up my se files and when i check the mail box a mail that is about the claim with fedex is cleared and they are ready to send me a new laptop which only i need to confirm my address with them. I used a car crash as my excuse to explain why i didnt reply for a long time, and after two months of live chatting back and forward, the brand's CS ask me to show them a receipt. Which i have 3 options rn:

1. refuse to give the receipt and flow with the excuse of car crash and say something like the receipt had been lost during the car crash or something

2. ps a bb receipt, which my concern is they might check the order number since the value of the laptop is too large

3. I have a foreign same brand authorised retailer's reciept for my old same brand laptop, and the brand does offer international warranty and the retailer's seller did talked about international warranty is covered other than north korea. Which with this path the CS cant really go find out if the order number is legit or not, but i am worrying that they dont approve that receipt .

Thank you so much for the reply and damn it took me a month to just letting them know i might not able to find my receipt. I did push hard but they still require me a receipt. The foreign receipt is off the table since i asked the company and they said with a foreign receipt the device will be sent back to the purchase country for service. So i guess i only have three options now: BB, Newegg, and Ebay since they are the only three website that sold the model of laptop in US. Which i have no idea which one to choose to minimum the chance of getting order number check

It's difficult to say for sure, but Best Buy would be my preference.

Alternatively, you can use the corrupted file method, but do expect a lengthy process of repeated requests for the file.

I am doing asus. According to their reply speed i dont think corrupted file is good since they reply my email once every two weeks so that might take like 3 months imo. I am think i will use a bb receipt and just tell them the local second hand seller gave me this receipt when i bought it, or do you think i should just not say a thing, just send in the receipt and until they think i am sus then tell them this receipt is from a local seller? So i cant find anyone who can sell me a bestbuy receipt, even if i do i dont know what info do i have to edit since most of them are not related to the product which is impossible to ps since i dont have those info imo. I was going to use darkproof to just get a bestbuy online receipt but their payment gateway is dead. So the only option that left for me is online amazon receipt with darkproof. I think i am just going to stick with the plan with just send them the receipt and unless they ask me for detail then i tell them it is from a local seller something like that.

You can purchase a very cheap Item from Best Buy, and use that receipt as your template.

I was going to use darkproof to just get a bestbuy online receipt but their payment gateway is dead.
