Does nature or nurture play a greater role in human development?
More elaborately, does ones biology, such as their DNA, handedness, or even something as insignificant as if they have birthmarks, play a larger role in how one develops than environmental factors, such as upbringing, accent, language, and food?
A couple research articles to start you off.
Minnesota Twin Study
This study indicates a strong link between things previously thought to be purely environmentally influenced, such as personality, and a persons genetic make-up.
Response of the Brain to Environment
This study indicates that a more diverse and stimulating environment results in more massive brains, especially in the cortex( the part of the brain responsible for more complex reasoning, including planning and complex thought ).
