Narrative-heavy Games #1
@Pikami recently gifted me the Life is Strange series. I'd watched a couple streamers do playthroughs so was eager to do the story myself.

Finished Before the Storm so far, and was curious if there were other narrative-heavy games people enjoy.

I really liked "The 3rd birthday", it was only released on the PSP so if you have one lying around I would recommend giving it a try

I remember when that was released. I have 50-100 UMDs and somehow not that one.

I'd love to play sometime. Seems interesting. I've seen a few scenes from watching streamers play.

The developers did a great job of keeping the story interesting and making the characters relatable. Not something I expected to like, since it's a story of teenage girls.

That's a good point actually. I don't know too much about it beyond the snippets I saw.

I do like the aesthetics of it, though.

I've never been a huge fan of the Life is Strange series, but the aesthetic and deep story is great, just not a story I can get into well.

I would consider Firewatch a very narrative driven game as it plays out like a deep interactive book and takes the reigns with in-game "cutscenes" frequently but has a much more approachable story for any demographic.

Deus Ex is very story driven to but it is very difficult to overcome the older graphics if its not something you're used to. The lack of DLC tends to help with the narrative not being tainted or anything and its one that I have dived into countless times.

I meant more so visual novel-type games, but I did enjoy Deus Ex when it came out.

Yeah when you say narrative heavy I took it to meant games with primary or abnormally heavy importance on the narrative. Can't say I play many visual novel/story book style games like you're after
