I really liked "The 3rd birthday", it was only released on the PSP so if you have one lying around I would recommend giving it a try

I'd love to play sometime. Seems interesting. I've seen a few scenes from watching streamers play.

I've never been a huge fan of the Life is Strange series, but the aesthetic and deep story is great, just not a story I can get into well.
I would consider Firewatch a very narrative driven game as it plays out like a deep interactive book and takes the reigns with in-game "cutscenes" frequently but has a much more approachable story for any demographic.
Deus Ex is very story driven to but it is very difficult to overcome the older graphics if its not something you're used to. The lack of DLC tends to help with the narrative not being tainted or anything and its one that I have dived into countless times.
