I was thinking I don’t open the door and make them give it to my neighbours, this way they don’t have a picture of my house

It's not good practice to get your neighbors Involved.

If an Investigation Is opened, they will be part of the process which can complicate matters further.

If the package Is taken by any member of the household, It's still deemed as personally accepted at the delivery address.

Provided photos are not taken, sign with a fake signature.

Drivers usually take photos of the entryway so prior to the delivery, rearrange It by removing/placing rugs, add or remove chairs & tables etc and when the driver leaves, put everything back to Its original state.

As such, this gives the Impression that It's not your home In the photos.

I’ve received the parcels today , and the driver didn’t require a signature , but he took a picture of the parcels at the porch not inside or anything .

Unfortunately no as it came 2 days earlier than Expected. But you can’t see my door number or anything just a rug

Only you would know how much of the image shows distinguishable objects such as flowers, pictures, rugs etc.If it looks generic and there is no way to prove 100% this is your property you should be fine.

Waiting a day or two is good in my opinion especially during COVID. That way you give the impression as if you waited a little bit just in case the tracking was wrong and you can use this in your advantage. You can say that you allowed for some extra time for the delivery given the current circumstances and also the driver would have had a few more days potentially delivering parcels thus higher chance of forgetting yours specifically.

Live chat and phone can work. Over the phone you have to be on top of it, you have to know what to say and how to say it. In fact it is more important how you say it rather than what. Over chat you have extra time to think the best way to respond but the agent also has that extra time to check details etc. Over the phone will be faster conversation and this can be beneficial in certain situations. If you are phoning choose a time that would have a high volume of calls thus the agent might be eager to end the conversation as he/she has several other customers waiting on the line.

Cheers , I did phone them up after an 2 hours of delivery , and the agent told me he’ll launch and investigation and that I’ll get an email next week so I’ll keep you posted .

Great to hear that. Hopefully they will send you the email confirmation soon.

You can certainly get caught. If you are not careful and smart companies can realise what you are doing. There are stories you can do a search for and read through some of the cases.
