Do you actually have a restore point you could back up ?
If yes try using safe mode to restore to a previously backed up point.

Hmmm. This is a wild guess, but try to reseat the memory. It might have jarred loose when it fell.

man install windows xp really.
It helped me were my computer shouted down at formating, I couldn't format it, but when I used windows xp discs it worked to me, after that I installed wXp then I installed another systems.

He can't even boot from a usb stick. Installing a new OS most likely wont help him. Second, support for XP has ended, and its a bad idea to install an old and outdated OS.

I said from Disc
I means CD.I know using xp maybe isn't good Idea but it helped me while I couldn't install any other systems.
