You should be fine - I've done more than 10 chargebacks on my account, albeit most of them low value, and still have only 1 sign of flagging ( I created a thread about it), which was fixed after I contacted support.

Oops, I have a Curry's chargeback atm, for DNA with DPD tracking (They remove the tracking from the database after delivery complete AFAIK) . I'm relying on luck that they don't read mine, as it's just £50. I guess I've got 2 weeks to go until I get the result.

Apologies, I was under the Impression that you're still adamant on the DNA.
I'd say to opt for "The Item Is different to what I ordered", that Is, the wrong Item received. It's more likely they'll ship an Incorrect Item, than one with missing parts or not In the condition as per your order.

PayPal predominantly want proof of the tracking ID as "being delivered" (In transit) and for the most part, don't contact the seller.
So you can certainly box them and by the time they've received the package, your refund would've been Issued.

In my experience, the SNAD has a high success rate with the majority of companies.

If i go with the wrong item received option, will I definitely have to return something?

Unless It's something of real low value, I'd say they'll certainly request the Item be returned.

It's the exact same as saying DNA but this time round you have a backup plan in case they reply. If you say SNAD and they don't reply then of course you won't need to box anything.

Roadman you're saying if a company doesn't reply to a SNAD PayPal won't ask you to return the item?

Yes, unless PayPal has changed, which I'm sure it hasn't. Look, DNA is risky for £5000. Bearing in mind the higher the dispute value the higher you are on their dispute list. That's all I'm saying.

This Is good to know for Informative purposes, thanks for that.
Not asked to return partially missing Items makes sense, but for the most part, the wrong Item received will be requested. That's how most companies operate- upon receipt of the Item, a refund Is Issued thereafter.

Understood, but "how many claims In total" have you performed with PayPal on the same account?

As per below, you're planning to DNA It, correct?
(06-12-2020, 07:12 AM)goldengeneration Wrote: I am planning on DNA again, will this flag on PayPal’s end
@mothered thanks again for your wisdom!
- I have only done 1 claim on PayPal with this account before. that was in february this year. Since then ive used PayPal a lot for legit transactions. ive had the account for a while now.
- Yes, I was initially planning DNA as it is known to work. especially as the carrier, has foolishly attempted to deliver the parcel to a house few doors down and took a picture of that door and uploaded that to my tracking id rather than taking a picture of the items left on my doorstep! so even if they did reply providing tracking surely this would go in my favour but furthermore im sure they will not even reply!
My main concern is when i go on to my claims page on PayPal i see the one from february which is the same retailer as this one. will it flag at their end?
I've seen Paypal side with seller when seller provides a tracking ID for a completely different order. As in, the tracking number showed the item was delivered to a different city before they buyer even made the order. I don't think Paypal really looks into the details. You would assume with all those details, DNA would work great, but honestly I would just avoid DNA with Paypal.
Unfortunately, I have to retire from SE.
Thanks for all the fun, knowledge, and discussions while I was active! SL really is an amazing community! Keep spreading your knowledge and grow as a community.

This doesn't surprise me at all.
I've mentioned a few times In various posts, that PayPal tends to (predominantly) only request the tracking number when processing refunds to the buyer. At times, It seems they don't bother checking Its delivery status.
