Microsoft SE #1
Hey guys, I want to SE a Microsoft laptop (surface pro), I've got a serial number but it appears that the warranty has expired 2 months ago. I originally wanted to do the disposed of faulty item method, problem is I don't know if Microsoft knows that the user has been using the product. Any approaches/thoughts?

Update: The serial number is registered to a country which I do not reside in.
Update: I got a different serial number, and this time the product is under the one year limited warranty.

They may be aware of Its usage If the user has registered and Is using Microsoft online services.

I did M$ few times. If you live in USA you need s/n of USA. You need also invoice and good ftid service. They send replacement after courier investigation. Make sure, that your device was bought from different site than official Microsoft store, and it was not repaired by M$.

Ouch, it’s safe to assume that they do then. I still don’t get it how they process refunds/replacements for surface pro SE’s when they can clearly see what’s going on.

Gotcha. Thing is, I’m trying to aim to get it replaced without all that boxing nonsense.

Boxing nonsense? Hah, that’s the key. You send them faulty item and then they send you a new one. Good luck to do this without nonsense boxing.

They only check If there's reason to do so - not each and every claim, which Is why others succeed and some don't.

I'm just saying, if there's a way, then I shall sway.

You either box them or you don't.
