I could go on all night about Python vs Lua. The fact of the matter is they both work, and I use them both. I like Lua a lot more, but that doesn't matter it is only my opinion. :-)
Also yeah, The "Python Guy" gave some pretty shatty and biased opinions comparing the two languages.

Guyz... you can't just say which language is better. You can't even compare them, especially Lua and Python as they both were made to serve a different purpose.
Lua is small, lightweight and fast, because it is intended to extend functionality of larger projects. That is why it is so common in so many games. You write some code and then use Lua for added features and anybody can extend these features by writing their own Lua scripts etc...
Python is made to be readable hence the "4 white spaces". Speed here isn't really a great factor because Python philosophy will prefer nice and clear but slightly slower code from ugly, but fast code.
And in my opinion, if you are developing something that really requires speed, you won't go for a scripting language, as they will always be slower than compiled ones.
Staff will never ever ask you for your personal information.
We know everything about you anyway.
