You'd be surprised the lengths people go to with stealing goods. For Instance, hot water tanks and air conditioning units attached to the home have been stolen countless times. Put on a tradesman uniform, rent a van under false credentials and no one will suspect a thing - In broad daylight. I've been In the social engineering scene for over 35 years, way before you were an embryo, and been there, done that.
I'm a bit older than that, but I'll take it as a compliment

I've just SEd you Into disclosing a ballpark figure of your age - hook, line, and sinker.
On a serious note, my comment well and truly supports the probability of a fridge stolen from one's doorstep.

The best option Is obviously the DNA.
Who's the company you're looking to SE?
Wayfair or Canadian Appliance Source. But doing DNA... I would assume they not only require signature, but also how can you convince a company you haven't received a fridge that weighs 200kg and pretty hard to miss in case it was dropped at the front door.
I don't know, maybe there is a perspective I'm not seeing here, but not sure how I would go about a DNA on this.
I believe people are using another method for Wayfair which is still working. I would definitely hit 1 up to do it for you. @

I looked into it and spoke with an experienced SE'er, he explained it to me. They don't have the fridge I'm looking for though. But will keep you up to date if I end up finding one that fits my need.

For a fridge I suggest you claim the unit to be defective. Claim the box arrived damaged (Damage it and take a pic and spray some water on it as well) and when you turned it on the compressor made a loud noise and the fridge shut down and is not working ever since. If they want to see some sort of evidence, turn the breaker for that particular plug off and make a short video of it being plugged in and not turning on no more.

That's the easy part hahaha. The hard part is them telling me that they need me to return the defective product. How do I go about that (based on your personal experience)?

Don't even think about using the faulty/damaged Item method on a fridge of that size and weight.

They shouldn't - that's why state the box is damaged as well and can't be used to repack. Damage claims do not get rebilled - "returns" do get rebilled. I used a refunder for my first wayfair order valuing over 12k multiple items - in the message section I saw almost everything was claimed damaged, items bigger than fridges as well.
You could also just get someone to do it for you if you don't want to take any risks and while its under process go and check your messaging history to see how they do it.
