You'll be using a different method altogether, so allow a sufficient gap by responding towards the last day of their return policy.

What exactly did you sign?
I don't even remember, but it said Newegg on it and showed the order. I signed it because the same thing happened a couple of months back when I SE'd a motherboard for my computer.

It probably wasn't a legally binding document such as an affidavit, so you'll be fine.

do they bill or anything like that, if I do go through with this, this will be my first-time boxing. Do you have any tips? What should I put in the box? A roll of tape?

Firstly, read their terms to see who's responsible for loss of goods during transit. If they're liable, then you're good to go.
The mouse Is light enough to not register a weight on consignment, so you don't need to add a substitute.
I've got It marked at 75 grams. Please confirm whether this Is correct.

Unfortunately, I do not have a scale to weigh the mouse, I am having trouble finding where in their terms covers liability for loss of goods.

If It's also sold by Amazon, have a look there.
They usually have Item weights under "Product Information".

It'll be listed somewhere In their terms.

ok I checked a few amazon listings and it says that it weighs about 81.6 grams, I think it counts the box as well. I looked around Logitech terms and this is what I found.

It states "Condition 8.1".
Without researching myself, I don't know what this relates to.
