The monitor is 500€ on Amazon, mostly sells in the 400 range though, I did a pretty normal warranty claim not boxing or DNA.

If you didn't use a drop, I'd box them just in case. It's probably the best thing you can do in this situation. Alternatively, you could claim the replacement monitor didn't arrive or you work FIFO and can't sort it out right now (story develops and potentially a robbery? LOL idk, use that creative mind Lukas!)

Boxing is difficult, the thing weighs 7kg.

Off course, however you're never off-the-books.

Debt collection agencies don't simply forget about a case If no one's home. Even If It takes years, they will catch up with you and where warranted, accumulated Interest must also be paid.

Even if it came to that stage (which is kind of unlikely right?) I can still try get out of it, if they won't let me keep the monitor so be it.

Yes you certainly can work your way out of It.

Don't overthink It, It will not come to this. I've just stated the worst-case scenario.

The lappy Is (somewhat) too big and heavy to box.

The DNA or wrong Item received method will suffice.

Nothing is ever to heavy! I SE'd very recently a Surface Book 2 15" max spec which is about 4.2lbs (2kg) and was successful Smile

Hence my comment of "somewhat".

And the weight of the Item/package does matter. Try SEing a 1000kg gym set via boxing or wrong Item received method.
