Learning C#

Does anyone know any good resources for learning C#?? I wanted to try and learn it but I'm not really sure where would be best...

I know SoloLearn is a great source. I use it quite a bit. Personally, I think It's better than any other free resource.

If I want to learn a new language I start with writing an IRC chat bot.
I don't actually read some fancy tutorials, I just learn as I go.

I agree, but the actual project isn't important. I learned every one of my multitude of languages by doing the following:

1. Pick a project, something not too challenging, but something that's not small
2. pick a subproject (a smaller part of your project)
3. google around on the THEORY of doing that
4. attempt to write as much code as you can on your own
5. google how to do the tricky bits
6. test
7. repeat from step 2

. SoloLearn is very helpful and you should also check The New Boston tutorials on YouTube Biggrin

helped me out a lot. The guy explains shit ton of stuff.

Check udemy It's great for beginners i learned there but it's not for advance users, you need to keep practice in order to get better in it Smile

Just remember that programming languages are easy. The C-based languages stick to their mathematical roots (FORTRAN) very closely. I'd suggest you learn more than one language at the same time. C and C# are loosely similar. Keep in mind that syntax and extensions are different. Learn the syntax of C and you'll learn most every language easily. Learn latin and you'll easily learn spanish.

I totally agree with you about SoloLearn. I've used it for learning Python 3 and I highly recommend it!
