Heyo guys,

so currently I'm in a bad financial situation and somehow managed to get a job at GLS delivering packages.

I've found out that the driver has to pay for every missing delivery. Idk how to feel about this..

I did one DNA for 500€ on Amazon and now I want to do another, but I feel bad for the guy who has to pay that shit.

Asked my boss since every GLS employer has their own drivers ( that's the system here in my country, idk about others tho ) he told me that every company like DPD/DHL/UPS/HERMES does the same, if you don't deliver the parcel correctly, you will have to pay for it.

What do you guys think about this, is it really ok to do all the SEing and let minimal salary workers pay for it ?

They have an insurance so I don't think so that every driver pay for it.

idk man, ive lost a parcel last week and he told me it would cost me 60€ ( price of the parcel ) but he will pay it this time because im new and it can happen, maybe hes trying to scare me and make sure that i deliver everything correctly but i asked him so many times and he always said "yes we have to pay it" and other drivers also said they have to pay the amount of the parcel if they lose it/fail to deliver it.

What you're referring to applies to General Logistics Systems, and not each and every other major carrier service.

well he said it applies to all the big companies. idk about the biggest postal service my country uses. anyways im not sure how to do another DNA when i have to think about some guy paying for my shit

im planning to get a XP-Pen Artist (Graphic Tablet) for 300€ since i think its ok or should i aim for a more expensive one since im doing DNA very rarely and only do it if i buy big things on amazon.

maybe another useful information that u guys dont know yet ( u prolly know it )

every driver of the postal companies has to take a signature from you, if they let the parcel in front of your door they will sign it instead of you and just write the first letters of your surname or whatever. everyone is always in a hurry and wants to end his tour so they dont like waiting for u to come out or to take the signature since it costs a lot of time.
