Laptop refund 03-11-2023, 08:38 PM

I have purchased a laptop, and it has very poor performance, unlike anything I expected. So I want to return it, but because I ordered it as a business consumer I can't just return the laptop without a reason. How could I go through with this? I was thinking of making up something and saying there is an issue with the laptop, and then again using some reason to explain how I don't want a replacement but a refund. Any ideas?

So you want to return the laptop. Legitimately. Why can't you just return it..?

What store? When you say very poor performance do you mean its malfunctioning or you fucked up and bought a laptop that was lower specced than you needed for the task ?

In my country the return laws do not apply to business costumers, and the store also doesn't have a return policy for business costumers.

The latter. I guess I should have done more research, but the laptop is not of a well known brand and I couldn't find any benchmarks on the internet.

Well to be honest, if my 10 years of knowing computers means anything, the laptop should be performing MUCH better however for some reason the GPU does not live up to its name in this case, I'm still not entirely sure if there is in fact a defect of some kind or not.

It's more that I'm afraid that they will deny the refund request, and then I won't have anything else left to say. I was wondering what you guys though about my other option: explaining how the laptop is significantly underperforming and I can't accept a replacement (which really isn't far from the truth, the difference being me trying to persuade them there is something wrong with the laptop itself).
