Yes, I could set it up as an AP, but I prefer the security and control of my own router. (Call me paranoid, but I don't like the idea of everyone that comes into my house being on the same network as my personal PC, and the shared folders I have for my other computers.) The main router for At&t is total garbage for for port forwarding and and services; they give you very little control. It's easier for me to just place the second router in DMZ and use its firewall instead.

You should set it up so your personal machines are on the same network as the file server. From there, you can setup a second router/AP as a "guest" network.

That's what I would do, any reason not to do it that way?

Does the DMZ'd router get its connection through the first router? or do you have the internet connection completely split between the two? If its split i cant actually think of a way to loop that back besides setting it up publicly which at that point is just stupid and dangerous.

I'd tend to agree with this. I believe there's a better solution than the way you're going about it.

Sorry it took so long. Been real busy.
Essentially my network is like so:


So, Router A has a gateway IP like 192.1.0.1, and assigns them from there, so other devices would be like so, 192.1.0.2, 192.1.0.3, and so on.

So lets assume Router B has an IP of 192.1.0.4. To Router B, this is what it calls it's WAN IP.
Now, Router B has a gateway IP of 192.2.0.1, and assigns them from there, so other devices behind it would be 192.2.0.2, 192.2.0.3, etc.

So lets say I want to access my Samba server, which is behind Router A, with an assigned IP of 192.1.0.5. The machine I want to access it from, is behind Router B, with an assigned IP of 192.2.0.4. Problem is, it does not show up in the network map, At all, even though I can Ping Router A.
