Anyone have experience with SE from direct suppliers before. I ordered a 2tb nvme SSD. The item is light enough for EB. Somehow it looks like the package was packed with care....if that makes any sense. Item is visible from the box since it's clear plastic

I don't want another repeat of my recent neweggs debacle. UPS visited my premise.

I read a post recently about crucial but no longer working. Anyone ever tried Kingston?

I'll check tonight. I believe it's 0.5lb.

It mentioned using the serial number of the SSD and contacting support claiming it died. A replacement will be shipped out but a faulty address is provided. Call the carrier when it ships to redirect the shipment. After a few days call crucial to inquire about the shipment.

The lastest update says it was patched or no longer working.

A similar methodology Is used with other companies, some of which have also been patched.

I did EB with amazon and it worked, it wasn’t kingston though, just find one not visible from the outside

I did EB with amazon and it worked, it wasn’t kingston though, just find one not visible from the outside

Amazon is quite lenient no matter which method you use as long as you don't abuse the system too many times. They do keep tabs on all of your infractions and if too many occurs they will send you a polite email to stop pulling this B's or they will close your account.

Not with the sealed box method.

They've been checking/opening returns for a few months to date.

Update : package arrived and has both a FedEx label and a UPS label. Tracking says delivered left with "other". Frankly, this is laughable.

Chatted with support and they've opened an investigation for missing package.
