Why would you take a video, If you have no suspicion whatsoever about the Item enclosed?

What happens If they cross-check the consignment with the carrier's manifest, and deem that the dispatched (Item) weight of 1.5 Kg, matches with the received weight?

When you received the package, it's a box suppose to have 1.5kg weight but nothing in there you have all the right to video recording show them. they will ask if you open the box, NO? I still have the box if you want i can record a record a video to show you what i receive. anyway.. they will ask many question, i'm not going detail how i responds what they ask. it's up to your responds and have the video for evidence,.
they can cross check but remember, how many person touch your package? through out the process from the retail to ups and to your house? In the end I dont have my laptop and i am out $1500 what is your solution? it's been 3 - 5 day talking over call and spoke to many rep, went out my way talking to ups , my frustration was 5 about heading to 10 and i was patiently enough, i did everything you ask. for you to understand that my time are value too. but i went out my way wasted lots my time and lots of frustration. my question is where's my laptop?

dont forget they have a supervisor and manager why not talk to them? It's not like those saturated dna, basic empty box , it's more advanced. there's many twist and turn. just use your imagination

One- only the carrier when "weighed at the depot" (thus the weight matched the company's dispatched weight), and loaded Into the van for the day's scheduled delivery.

Given there's no signs of tampering, hence a damage report Is not raised and the weights match, this will release the driver from liability. All In all, the Item was sent & received accordingly.

that's not true, yes there's departments weight it and even xray your package suspicious for drugs, gun illegal items. but when to different chain they dont weight it every time!

It's doesn't matter with how the process is, i used to work at fedex, and was a amazon driver. there's many thing internal ppl work there knows about it.
You may think it's only fedex ups ects are delivery your pack. No , There's other Logistic third party delivery your package working for "Fedex, ups other carrier"
Let me give you one example. Amazon driver CAN"T NOT Hand the package to customer, due to corid 19 . do you know what happen to the driver. if customer complain that the driver was to close and giving the package to customer? you don't but let me tell you the driver will get a TIER 2 Infaction and 2 strike they will fired the driver.

It most certainly Is true, you've just said It yourself. And we're not talking about a customs-like security check pertaining to weapons and drugs.

Evidently, I, nor anyone else, can't speak for each and every transport company but for the most part, weights and dimensions of packages, pallets, skids etc are taken on consignment for both record keeping and cost of freight. This Is how they keep track, charge their customers and verify goods from the consignor to the consignee.

Unfortunately, you're not following my previous post.

I'm referring to the last point of contact, whereby the carrier deemed the dispatched weight to be correct with the weight taken at their depot "just before It's loaded Into the van" to be delivered to Its destination. Whether It passes through 2 hands or 200 hands, Is Immaterial. I reiterate, both weights match, hence the Item was enclosed.

I once had my Beats headphones stolen/lost, the package arrived open on the side with a cheap tape job. My mom had signed for it already. However, as suggested above as soon as I saw the cheap tape on the package I started recording with my phone and sent this to BOTH the DPD delivery and the company and they did provide a refund and had opened an investigation with the delivery driver.

This further supports my above post, pertaining to cross-checking consignments when using the missing Item method. For any chance of a successful outcome, the weight Is of paramount Importance. It certainly cannot be done with a 1.5 Kg Item.
