No updates yet, I am awaiting the replacement to arrive.
I’d love to go into details but something doesn’t sit right placing a full plan on a forum.

The general idea is: get bottle,
Get replacement,
package received,
Make sure this breakage looks legit,
oh dear the package arrived broken!
Go to store and explain bottle arrived broken,
Receive instant refund avoiding as it removes processing and return time


I haven’t done in store shit, but based off my understanding of human behaviour it seems easier than dealing with someone over the phone. Dress nice and look like someone who wouldn’t do this etc.

My only question is how to make this breakage look legit.

I have done a lot of research and before I do this I’m in the middle of a boots order of £300. If this goes well I’ll learn a thing or two from how they handle it and move on.

John Lewis gave replacement and not refund? Did you pressure them or just give in for replacement?
