Never tried John Lewis they may ask you to send the bottle back if it's that expensive
Maybe someone else has experience with them

I’m have original bottles for this too, but the value is about £750. I think with genuine bottles it’s hard to dispute, but I wanna slide this before you all first.
did you attempt the se?

I’d love to go into details but something doesn’t sit right placing a full plan on a forum.
The general idea is: get bottle,
Get replacement,
package received,
Make sure this breakage looks legit,
oh dear the package arrived broken!
Go to store and explain bottle arrived broken,
Receive instant refund avoiding as it removes processing and return time
I haven’t done in store shit, but based off my understanding of human behaviour it seems easier than dealing with someone over the phone. Dress nice and look like someone who wouldn’t do this etc.
My only question is how to make this breakage look legit.
I have done a lot of research and before I do this I’m in the middle of a boots order of £300. If this goes well I’ll learn a thing or two from how they handle it and move on.
John Lewis gave replacement and not refund? Did you pressure them or just give in for replacement?

Sorry I phrased this poorly, I meant I haven’t tried it yet. I have updated the post to make more sense

Let us know your result. You don't have to go in store, the company normally require photos and may even require the broken bottle sent to them and if you return to store with multiple broken bottles it may raise eyes for further inspection. Not saying it won't work but I've never heard of this being necessary

I would have them delivered in the same box so it’s believable that the box might’ve had an aggressive throw or fall somewhere along the way making multiple bottles break.
It’s a double edged sword because if only one broke, how come the other was ok? But then if both broke then how much abuse did the parcel go through?
Ultimately I believe it’s down to how you come across with the situation, and what is more important is the story being possible, but you yourself being believable.
You need to act as if this has really happened and go with it.
I understand your thinking, however these reps don't go by the same logic. I once got rejected because there wasn't liquid in the delivery box (the perfume was 'broken' in a separate sealed metal tin)
I Personally haven't SE'd 2 bottles in 1 delivery using the bb method as I wouldn't want to risk it failing by being greedy.
I wish you luck on your SE.
