Italian Amazon request police report

Hey everyone,

Im looking for some advice.

I`m in the middle of refunding a package around 900 EUR. The package was delivered to the address and left (not signed for), and ive claim that it was never received. I didnt sign anything, however, now amazon has asked me to file a police report..

Im guessing their conclusion is theft of package rather than courrier incompetence. Im not much for faking official report. The other aspect is that it was delivered to my brothers address, and id prefer not to drag him into this.

Anywau; lay it out for me. What do you see of options?

They've basically DNA'd themselves.

They're asking for a PR because they have no evidence to decline your claim. If they did, It would've been done by now. Go ahead and file the report- It's simply required to move forward with your claim.

Mothered, do you know how long a PR takes after you give the police details? They give you a reference log number but no average completion time of the report.

It depends on locality and the police department you're dealing with.

There were times where I've waited for days, and other Instances when It was done within the day. It takes longer when doing It online.
