Iphone Sealed Box #1
Hi guys,

I am about to SE an iphone with the sealed box method. I already have the stickers for it. But there is one thing that still gives me a headache and I don't quite understand it, namely the box.
Do I put the fake stickers on the originally sent box? Or do I have to order a fake box from e.g. Aliexpress? There are always certain barcodes on the packaging that match the respective iPhone, so packaging from Aliexpress would certainly not be of any value and not usable.
So the only way left is to put it on the original packaging that was sent, which brings us to my second question, which is based on that.
What if the SE fails, the original box has logically already been sent and I only have the iPhone? I can then no longer send the iPhone back to Amazon, for example, because of course they want to keep the original packaging and not just a loose iPhone.
Could someone please explain me how to do it then?

PS: Or maybe I can just buy a box from ebay of the same model? Is the barcode the same on all devices?

@mothered I would personally appreciate your advice.

Oh really? To be honest, I assumed that the employees from the amazon.de warehouse in particular didn't really check the box? I thought the standard process is that they check if the stickers are still on and then see it as confirmed.
Do they stick the stickers back on yourself afterwards?

Correct.

Apple does the same.

So what do they do with the now 'Opened but never used' iPhones? Send them back to Apple for resealing ? It surprises me that they break the seals but at the same time it doesn't given they're Apple products. Surely they are not doing this for all sealed mobile phone returns ? There are bound to be mid range Android phones you can easily SB from Amazon.

Exactly right.

From memory, both Amazon and Apple have been checking sealed box returns for around 6-7 months.

Thank you guys for your replies.

1. What if I replace the original iPhone with a dummy AND also attach the sealed sticker?
I don't know how far the investigations of the returned iphones go, but I doubt that they really turn on and test every iphone besides unpacking them? Maybe you know more about that.

and 2. are there stores you know (preferably EU) that don't scrutinize the iphones that much?

PS= maybe the SB method for Iphone is not the best method after all?
