Don't use the flawed so-called FTID.

They've obviously Identified Inconsistencies with the consignment, hence your account Is closed.

Nope it wasn't for FTID, I ordered with the card of my family member and it got suspended for "fraud"

I used a FTID service for amazon once and basically they told me they received and empty package. Basically failed. I was able to save the SE by resetting the claim with another rep who luckily decided maybe to not look at the history of the item and refunded on the spot.
I don't know how FTID can work since even if you delete crucial details on the label to make it go missing, the courier may reprint the correct label because the correct details will always be in the system.

Understood.

Did they specify the nature of the fraudulent activity In the message, or just simply stated fraud?

General question @mothered: if one would use the sealed box method and for whatever reason the return would be opened, how would you be able to get out of it and legitimately return the product without arousing suspicion?

It depends on the reason with the Initial sealed box return.

For Instance, If It was a change of mind, you'd later say that after carefully opening the box and looking at the product (and changed your mind about It), you were In a rush and mistakenly placed something else Inside and securely closed It. You can then return the original one for a refund.

The wording used Is very Important. I've highlighted carefully opening the box and securely closed It to justify the return In Its original form. At the end of the day, the sealed box doesn't raise suspicion under the above circumstances - It's entirely your choice If you wish to be pedantic and reseal It.

Thank you for your answer. I have been thinking about doing this method and ordered some of those stickers to seal it back up. I assume my last Amazon SE doesn't even have an impact on this one as it is a "legitimate" return with the sealed box method. But just in case: my last SE was on December 12th and I have since then placed two orders for a total of around 50$. That should be fine, right?

Also, what is something I could replace the phone with? I know that as long as they don't actually check the return it does not matter but if they do what would be something good to make it plausible that it was just a mistake? How close should it be to the actual weight of the phone? I am also thinking about buying something like that, but I'd assume you'd say it's not necessary: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005003615284587.html.

There hasn't been any Inconsistencies on the account, so the SE Is certainly good to go.

You can replace It with a dummy phone and If need be, add extra packing to add some weight.

In this case, no more than a 50 gram variance +/-

I've just read this part now, and It's precisely what I've linked above.

It can be justified If they decide to open the return. Off the top of my head, I can think of an excellent excuse/reason.

Wow you‘re perfect! It would be also really cool if they had Macbook Pro dummies lol! The weight differences could be a problem if you place a dummy phone in it with extra stuff for lifting the weight, then it might be suspicious. But I‘m most likely going for the iPhone box seal stripes.
