I recently used the DNA method on BestBuy for an iPad (not cellular), I just got the refund confirmation email but in the email, they also said that "keep in mind that if the investigation concludes that your package was ultimately delivered and accepted, we will have to be recharging you for the item." Do you think its safe to activate the Ipad now or should I leave it off for a little longer? I don't know if they can conclude that the item ever arrived because I was supposed to sign for the package but when the Ipad was delivered nobody even rang the doorbell.

leave it for a bit until they finish their investigation.

That way you still have the option to say your neighbour had it and then you can return it if you like.

That way you still have the option to say your neighbour had it and then you can return it if you like.

No, they didn't say how long it would take but I opened the case and they started their investigation on May 2nd, and I only got the refund confirmation now but they're still saying the investigation is ongoing, do you think its fine since the case has been going on for a month?

Ya it was just left there nobody rand the doorbell, no signatures were taken. So I'm guessing it should be safe to use the Ipad now, they shouldn't be able to come to the conclusion that it was delivered and accepted then right?

That's perfect DNA material- anything could've happened to It whilst It was left unattended at your doorstep, hence you did not "personally accept It".

So I'm guessing it should be safe to use the Ipad now,

To be on the safe side, I'd wait until they conclude their Investigation.

Sorry guys, this took me a while to respond I haven't been too active on the forum as of late. Yes, the Ipad worked, I waited until I got my full refund from Bestbuy and I have not been contacted by them since then. It's been over half a year since I got the Ipad and I have had no issues, I was not rebilled and they did not further investigate. Hope this helps.
