In-Store Graphics Card Purchased with CC - Any SE Possible? 02-09-2022, 10:51 PM
#1
I just picked this up and I feel like I've been robbed. I wasn't intending on attempting anything but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Baby is still shrinkwrapped. I was thinking sealed box but I haven't been able to pull that off with shrinkwrap... Any tips?
EDIT: On second thought, these things move so fast it will be realized almost immediately. Sealed box is probably the worst idea... Maybe wrong item? Maybe I'm screwed? Lol
Am i reaching for pie in the sky?
Cheers mates

Why would you say that when the box Is sealed to perfection, and you return It when they're Inundated with customers just before close of business?
I just assume they might be able to associate me with the purchase. The serial is right on the receipt and I did use my CC but I guess that doesn't prove anything. Is that too paranoid?
I've never done an in store before. Also, how do you reseal the wrap? I would guess using new wrap would be ideal but it has labels on it.

The company is microcenter. I'm not sure how they would handle a return of this item but I'm also worrying about them checking anyway since the theft of GPUs is so high, sealed or not.
The film is a fragile stretchy plastic almost like Saran wrap that's been molded to the box. There's already holes all around it just from normal handling.
I suppose I am worried about the person who gets it next but there's no way of proving "who dun it".
Perhaps I'm worrying too much... Who working would care this much?

just remember if you do the seal box method and the employees open that shit up ur fucked
This is precisely what I'm worried about. I feel like it's not crazy to have a policy to check even unopened GPUs

You're overthinking the SE.
If there's absolutely no signs of Inconsistencies whatsoever, there'd be no reason to check It. If you're concerned, legitimately return It, then order It online and you'll have an array of other methods at your disposal.

It doesn't make the OP responsible.
He could've bought someone else's return, and he's simply returning what he originally purchased.
I wish I could order it online but I've been trying that for years lol
I was wondering if claiming there was junk in the box might work. If they refuse to help me, which I expect them to do, just contact my bank and explain to them what happened. If they contact the store they would at least tell them I tried to return it
