A lot of these huge refunding services on Telegram started out as a one man operation but when you see them asking for workers, it certainly raises a red flag in my eyes. Without sounding Xenophobic, there is a tendency to hire "workers" from eastern European countries as they tend to be looking for jobs (even newbie users) more often than others. Im sure they're perfectly capable but personally I wouldn't be comfortable with someone handling a multiple thousand pound refund who isnt fluent in the language, hasn't been in the scene long and is desperate for work.
These big refund services also have no interest in you either, if they fail the refund so what? They dont lose out on any sizeable income as they rake in orders from lurkers on telegram or forums. If you want something done properly, do it yourself.

They see that they can make a profit off these newbies and tell them to make 10K+ orders and then you have someone who's never even managed to get a refund for $10 speaking to a company about getting a refund for a $6000 laptop. I've been around for a bit and even I don't feel comfortable playing around with anything 5K+ myself let alone letting some guy who's probably on some radar doing it for me and possibly leaving me stranded to deal with it if it fails with no experience. I don't solely blame the refunders, I think there are some very greedy people out there too and that's just how it is.
I feel you. Plus your right about the greed (which is how most people get tripped up) them several thousand orders are nothing just play around with.
Oh man, don't get me started on greed
People that did a DNA once that suddenly feel like pro and want to hit 2 iphones at once, or 2 macbooks, which is bound to be a fail AND extra infos for the company to patch up methods
So true! Se'ing is best when doing it in between regular purchases. If they want the steady money, refund for other people. Works especially well near college towns.
Got too many methods, I don't know which one to use today.

The social aspect is very low when it comes to social engineering for refunds. Yeah, you can definitely scam your way into free items you didn't pay for, but how much is it the skill of the "SE"-er, and how much of it is online retailers being stupid. Easy to talk a big game after formulating a plan ahead of time in a text chat where you can set the pace.
Of course, social engineering is an umbrella term, and it covers refunding scams, or fake warranty claims, etc. But it really lacks the finesse or manipulation that real-world person to person social engineering is all about.
Even something as simple as swiping something from a brick and mortar store requires the basis of social engineering, to know how not to arise suspicion. But can you call someone who steals a candy bar or uses an automated refund system a true "social engineerer"?

most tele refunders don't even exercise much opsec either. Also some people tend to use their clients as guinea pig and use their orders to experiment, weather a refund / store will work or not.
