I have just recieved a reply from the Razer management team. In it they said that they wanted the laptop back to assess the claim even though I told them I got rid of it as it was posing a hazardous risk to my living area. I don't know what to do honestly.

You can't give what you don't have.

Tell them you've contacted the waste disposal and they cannot locate It, but you did take photos at the time of the damage for Insurance purposes, and you're more than happy to send them as evidence.
You can easily Photoshop the Images.
