I feel like a loser. 12-21-2021, 02:13 AM

Long story short. I had going well until the until the end where the support team said I should take the matter up with law enforcement. Their reason was that because of a rise in people claiming "issues" they now deny those claims outright. The higher rep told me to try filing a police report, and call this other support number he gave me. I feel like a loser because I don't know what went wrong, and this was my first se with this company. Should I go with the PR and hope the other support team can come through or just let it die.
Got too many methods, I don't know which one to use today.

A PR Is only needed to move forward with your claim, so go ahead and file It.
As mentioned above, please elaborate on the company and method.
The company was Best Buy with the missing item method. Item was well under 120grams but it seems like they are getting wise to it, since they said they had a lot of claims come through over the holidays about it, so they are being extra cautious with refunds/replacements. I will keep you all updated.

Given they're requesting a PR, the weight has not been detected, hence the claim Is still active.
Although a police report has no relevance to receiving your package (untouched) without the goods Inside, comply with their request and file a report.
Will do, and I will post updates as they come in. Thank you for taking the time to offer your advice.

You're most welcome.
We shall await further developments.
So the team that my case was escalated to, thanked me for sending them the PR, but ended up telling me to take the issue up with my bank. What confuses me is that why would a merchant encourage someone to file a chargeback. I have all my evidence proving my side of the story (missing item under 100grams) so if I were to file a chargeback would the company fight it hard and then I wasted a chargeback for no reason?
