How to save a layer style (Photoshop cs6)

If you have a certain text you created using effects, this is how to save it so you can use it again with ease!

First make sure the style window is open, it looks like this:


Click the 'Window' tab at the top and make sure 'Styles' is ticked.



Now create your text style, this is mine.


Once created, right click the layer and click 'Blending Options'.

(Or just double click the layer, in the layers window to bring it up automatically)

Now this window will open up:


Simply click 'New Style...'


Now name the style and click ok.


The style will be added to the previously opened style menu, and you can just click it to use it.

This is rather helpful, as I've seen that most people who upload styles these days does it through PSDs. Which makes many people wonder how they add them to their gallery.

I started a few years ago, but I had long breaks, so I'd say about a year.
