Hiking Thread #1
So.. Living where I do, I really enjoy taking time to hike all around the place. I thought I could make a thread full of photos that I take on my hikes, and if anyone else has some cool photos they should post here too. Hopefully someone can appreciate them.

The last photo of this group was upon return right at sunset. Got a nice photo off the back deck.

Wow man, those are some amazing shots you've taken. They grasped my attention for so long, it seems as if you aligned the focal point in each picture in the right spot. Great photography skills, seriously, you should look into doing it more.

That means so much, thanks! I did photography classes back in High School so I feel like that may have helped.

I really like the pictures, especially the last one. Purely magnificent.

A few tips and feedback (just from an amateur):
For the first one, it would have looked a little better if you could have either gone to the top of the hill/mountain and had a view looking down it, or vice versa - from the base to the top. Possibly on your knee to just add an extra layer to it.

The second, I can't tell if it's the snow or your camera - but it looks like there is a slight blur past the second tree nearest to you. That was a nice little touch, though if it was you doing it - possibly a little harder blur to catch attention just that much more.

The third and fourth, I don't see too much you could have done. Possibly gotten in the middle of the water (if there was a little area of land for you to stand) so you could have been aligned with the stream. Then have a blue on the trees and things past a certain distance.

The fourth is absolutely my favorite. I don't think you could have changed anything that would have made it any different.

All in all, you are a fantastic photographer. If you could have gone either earlier or later (such as nearer to the final picture) it would have made it that much more beautiful. Smile

These are some nice shots man.
What type of camera were you using?

I do a fair bit of hiking myself with friends. Never hiked in a cold environment though.
Love going through canyons and mountains man.

Hiking is fun, I recommend visiting Bohemian Forest if youre in to that, untouched beautiful nature over there.

Bump.

Do not bump a thread of this age, namely 3+ years.

It's considered grave digging.
