High end watch SE amazon #1
If I were to SE a high end watch from Amazon, lets say in the £3-5k range what would be the best method?

I know DNA is the obvious answer as it's too heavy to EB but that then involves a PR which I always try to avoid for obvious reasons.

Then there's wrong item received but after looking at a few listings these more expensive watches can't be delivered for 1-2 weeks in some cases which would indicate they aren't stocked in my local amazon warehouse as the cheaper watches can be shipped to me in a couple of days. I think this could cause complications so I will rule this method out.

That leaves me with the boxing method, it shouldn't be too difficult to calculate the dry ice as most watches weigh under 500g but for an item of this value what are the chances this actually works?

Would be very grateful if anyone could share their experience with boxing Amazon and SEing high value items on Amazon.

I successfully EB (with a lot of difficulties) a 1,7k shipped from amz.
But I would like to know what watches on amz you are talking about.

what kind of difficulties? what weight was the watch?

The brand of watch isn't really relevant, they're all around the same weight and packaged in the same way but I'm looking at ones in the 3-5k range.

The watch was 106 (EDITED: I forgot the exact weight) so under @mothered suggestion I went with eb. But they continued to tell that it was shipped correctly, packed correctly and by the carrier investigation they confirmed no damage was done to the package and so it could not have lost in transit or went missing from the package.
In the end it was successful by the way.

I didn't know amz sold by itself watch of that costs. That why I'm curious, can you tell me an hint on how to find them without saying the brand?

Great thanks for the info, the watches i've been looking at are a lot heavier than that.

If you go to Amazon and search Men's watches and just set the minimum price to £3,000 you will see an array of watches in this price range, the most expensive one I could find was a Breitling at £15,000 but i think attempting something of this value would be a bit ridiculous lol

it says on amazon 449g but i think that is including the box as other sites say the watch itself weighs 142g

There's a big difference between the two.

Try and conclusively locate the Item weight.
