^ This.

Opt for those who've been In the scene servicing SE'ers for many months (preferably years) to date, and also have a good reputation and feedback from well-known social engineers.

Congrats. How did you go about circumventing the Police Report? Don’t they demand a signed and stamped physical copy?

Well done.

This clearly demonstrates that a PR Is only required to move forward with the claim.

Much like using PP disputes sparingly, surely the same should be done with PRs ? Its bound to raise some piglet eyebrows if you are stacking up PRs for online orders all the time ? What rate would you suggest, @Nabeshin said to keep it to 1 or 2 PP disputes per year would it be the same or more for PRs ?

My post does not refer to the above - that's a different matter altogether.

Evidently use common sense and good judgment when filing PRs. It's not hard to exercise logic.

Update:

They asked for PR, photos of package and of AirPods box over email. Went into the police station and tried to get one and they told me to ring 101 and report it over the phone. I done that and got a reference number to give to apple instead. I rang apple and told them what happens, then Sent them the photos and the reference the police gave me. Now I’m being asked to provide a police report or at least a screenshot of the crime reference number over the email, even after I told them that I done it over the phone.

Make a half-assed PR and send it off. Wait for them to respond saying that “it’s a civil matter” and then screenshot the email and send it to apple. Just keep going back and forth saying they’re refusing to give a signed PR saying it they wanna charge like £100 or some BS. They’ll fold eventually.
