Hand/thumb hurting

So I woke up with my hand absolutely killing kind of at the bottom of my thumb / hand and I don't really know why. I think maybe since I'm on the computer so much but I don't really know Confused

any ideas.

What type of a pain? A sharp one?

Since I woke up so about 3 hours now. And kinda shooting pain and it's gone up my arm now.

No not really,

Have you done anything that could have psychically caused the pain such as jamming your thumb, landing on it or etc?

Don't think so since I don't really move in my sleep and woke up laying on the other arm.
