Apologies for the late reply, after around a week of constant bitching on emails and live chat plus another few days of waiting for a response -- I received a email from the C SR team saying that they've finalized the case and just remember to keep it next time.

Hopefully this helps somebody but of course; If you're planning to SE HP, use a drop/reship. They will bill, I'm sure I was only a exception.

No Issue whatsoever with the late reply.

I honestly thought HP would be a lot harsher, but It's good to read It worked out In your favor. I'm sure your experience will help others who plan to deal with HP.
Same; I was never told by the customer rep in the live chat when getting the monitor that I was to return it (hence why I threw it out) to I just kept pushing that and said that I couldn't afford to pay for a bill. I'm guessing the price of the monitor also factors in, it's only $100 compared to what their new monitors cost.

I also have a similar case. Will your method work in my case? I tried for 23 inch elite display monitor. Initially they told that monitor was not in stock. Now they are saying they can deliver the replacement but asking for old one.
