Got a server setup?

I have one that acts as a webserver, and I store some random data on it that I want to be able to access (kinda like cloud storage). I have another one that acts as a test server for....well... testing things. Yet another acts as a (soon to be) media server.

I have raspberry pi set up as server. It used to be for a file server, but it has bad performance.Currently trying to get plex or xbmc to work on it and also OpenVPN.

Plex is easier to get working compared to XBMC, also plex doesnt have to have a GUI running for the server to be broadcasting, unlike XBMC.

Raspberry Pi XBMC is nice. Small PC XBMC is 10 times nicer... only now I don't have use for my Pi...

My question is, can you get xbmc to run without its gui, because thats the most off putting thing i find about it, when i can just load up plex and have it start with the system, and on top of that it only uses roughly 2% CPU with 4-8 people on it.

I don't think you can, but XBMC is very themeable.

well see, my set up now i have, (Untill i get a media server set up for my living room tv) has to run on my Ubuntu Server, and I didnt want to add a GUI at all, so XBMC was out of the picture right then, now for later when i have a spare Optiplex 330 ill have it run a small linux with a 24/7 XBMC (with a few terabytes) and ill have it host all my media. As for now im setting up MAAS, and ill be selling hosting.

I sometimes host a FTP or a VNC for various uses, but neither of those are up right now. Only thing I have right now is a TFTP server for PXE booting and OS installation on lan.
