My Windows Phone died the other week and the only Android phone (at the Telstra shop) available with a 4.3" display, was the Samsung Galaxy J1, so I bought It. Suffice to say, It exceeds my expectations with It's overall functionality. Very stable and responsive. I'm extremely happy with It.

CyanogenMod has been discontinued. No more development on it.

I really like the new screen and would consider getting one, but I need some $$$ first SMH

It may be true that there have not been any leaps in development for phones in recently, but I also think that there are a lot of good phones out there so maybe we shouldnt complain too much Smile

Noticed something about this phone.. the face recognition can easily be tricked with a photo! I wouldn't use face recognition with this phone!

The team working on it was rebranded, they call themselves lineage or something, and it is apparently more than a simple rebrand

A lot of people gave up on it. But a group of people working there created Lineage.
Some releases have come out for certain phones.
