What do you think of fansubs? Have they helped or hindered anime?
I have often found that if I'm watching a show not long after it's aired and there's multiple people making fansubs, some will do episodes faster than others so I would chop and chance which fansub I'm seeing. This usually means that there are discrepancies in translation. Usually the gist of the conversation is the same, but sometimes it changes the meaning to really important dialogue where they may only say a couple of words. Do you think this is bad for anime where people aren't going to have a consistent experience unless they speak Japanese or do you think it doesn't really matter?
