Fake bank statement for returns #1
So i have an item which i have SEd and to make maximum profit and get rid of it quickly i though of returning it instore, i have found 2 stores stocking the item, Argos and Currys, both state that proof of purchase is needed such as a receipt which i could make but the order numbers wouldnt work, i looked further into it and found that they accept a bank statement as proof of purchase, my question is if i faked a bank statement would this be enough to return the item or would they need to look more into it? also does the bank statement hold info such as an order number that they would be looking for?

Don't.

It's Illegal to forge an official document, and Is also against our rules to discuss It.

oh ok, didnt know this, sorry
in this case would making a fake receipt and playing dumb if they lookup the order number to be nonexistant work?

They will definitely look up the fake order number. Option 1 may work however I can neither confirm nor deny it has worked personally, for obvious reasons as we aren't allowed to talk about this.

I just wanted to clarify that a fake receipt more than likely will not work.

Just play it safe and sell on ebay, gumtree, shpock etc.

As stated, they'll cross-check the order number to verify the purchase.

However, If you're adamant with the SE, It'll all come down to (seemingly) an administration error In their Invoicing department. This legitimately happens a lot more often than people think, which gives hope to the SE succeeding.
