FTID via service failed? #1
hi there,
did 2 repair SN recently and used a boxing service to try out ftid3 for the first time.
well it seems like both packages are stuck. after phoning ups about them one of them seems to be noted under "suspicion of fraud".
Ofc I dont know anything about this I just sent them the defect item via their provided return label, right?

It's most likely noted under "suspicion of fraud" because of the edited label. These companies scan the barcodes of the labels, they don't go off what is written/typed on it. And red flags may be raised if they see that the info on the barcode and what is printed on the package doesn't match. The long and short of it is...any form of the ftid method is an easy way to catch a mail fraud charge. These mailing companies were not born yesterday. Now nothing will happen to you as long as you didnt use your real name, and used a drop address.

Oh one more thing, the better way to go about s/n repair se, is to do the traditional boxing method, if the item is heavier than 120gr use dry ice or substitute the weight with stuff that is usually found in a mail courior warehouse ie packing tape and the like. Hope this helps.

Got too many methods, I don't know which one to use today.

In future, don't use that piece of garbage.

Carriers that operate with state of the art logistics and freight distribution, will Identify the Inconsistencies on the shipping label on almost every occasion.

yeah i will keep away from it in the future, just wanted to try it once. all the other methods were way easier to execute. shouldnt be using FTID if I can usually get all I need via phoning customer support. just dumb on my part tbh

IMO the service provider is trash. I personally hadn't had any issues with FTID when executed flawlessly.

It's all part of your learning experience, so don't be too hard on yourself.

so phoned one of the companies today to ask about the repair, as I REALLY need it soon and customer support told me it'd be done quickly before I sent it. (obviously made up by me)
now they told me it arrived already but their repair team ordered the materials needed for the repair and they are still not there.
I got alot of sympathy from the rep and we agreed upon me calling again in 2 days if I dont have any news on my repair status.
fun fact, the ups tracking tells me it still hasnt arrived X?D
well I'm not gonna complain it's a perfect basis to operate from now.

Seems like UPS has messed up the consignment to some degree.

Do keep us updated.
