The key Is to obviously not show any signs of tampering/Inconsistencies. As such, they'll place It back In their Inventory without checking Its contents, and Issue a refund/replacement thereafter.
wouldnt this method be quite risky? im sure it would be a low chance of the company finding out about the item being switched, but if they do then what would happen from there onwards?

Well I highly doubt that mate , they wouldn’t want to open a sealed box. Also if they do, I will hust simply say I haven’t done anything , it was sealed

If your backup of PayPal fails, you can perform a chargeback via your credit card provider, or a bank reversal through your merchant.

I have a few questions regarding chargebacks Mothered..

Do credit card companies know how many chargebacks you've done/does it get stored?
Are there any risks involved in multiple chargebacks? (considering they can't prove you're lying as such)
If you own a number of credit cards, would the providers know you've done a number of chargebacks previously with other credit card companies?
If you close a credit card where you've done multiple chargebacks/reversals, will the company have previous chargeback information if you open a fresh credit card account?

Every SE has an element of risk, but the key Is to significantly minimize It by being methodical/strategic.

With the sealed box method, If you don't give them reason to check, then they won't open a "manufacturer's packing"- this will deem It a secondhand/used Item. I certainly wouldn't purchase something brand new that's been tampered with.

I received the iPad today, attempted to carefully unseal it and it literally flopped. So sealed box method is out of the question . I didn’t pay with PayPal so I can’t open a dispute either. Can I claim I recieved a different iPad inside ? Or shud I just return it and accept it as a failed attempt

With the wrong Item received method, you can claim any stock Item that's part of their Inventory.

I rang them up saying I received a different iPad inside an iPad Pro box and they said to return it and they’ll issue a full refund. He even put it on the system notes

Every claim Is recorded as a point of reference from one representative to another.

How did you respond when he asked to return It?
