Actually I'm going to have to say Omega Shenron from Dragon Ball GT is my favorite.

I think you can count me down for it. I've watched some GT, but didn't find it interesting...
I've read all the books (1-42) and watched most of DB and DBZ as well.

I'll go with... Frieza. He seemed to be the best "built" character out of them all.

I've watched all of DBZ, the majority of DB and only some of GT, which is my preferred order of the entire series. I think DBZ has a special place in my childhood since it was one of those Saturday morning shows that you looked forward to (or late night ones, if you stayed up late).

As for best villain, I'd probably put it on Vegeta on the beginning of the series, especially for what he did to Goku; I'd seen a lot of action shows in my life, but never saw one where
Spoiler:
the villain actually kills the hero.

There's also times he goes evil to good, but, eh.

It's digitally remastered, with better quality graphics and sounds/music, with loads of less filler; I think the original count was over 250 episodes, but they managed to cut it down to about 100. I think they were supposed exhibit less blood while keeping the action from the original - if you've seen the DBZ before Kai, you'll notice the differences, but it won't detract from the experience.

In my opinion, the original has place in my heart, but Kai ultimately makes the experience a lot better.
