Recently on top of my regular job I've started doing DoorDash. Seems like a somewhat convenient service that I'd like to take advantage of and get a little bit of additional cash flow.

That being said, anyone here do it? If so, any tips for myself or even others who may want to do it? Or stories maybe?

I did DoorDash for around a year, here's some advice. Don't expect to enjoy it as much as you are now in a few months. It gets very repetitive and morons on the road will piss you off more and more. Dealing with impotent customers who blame the driver is also very frustrating. I live in the city so I was only able to work night shifts, which was great since the roads were clear and the sun wasn't out.
If a customer ever tries to get you to correct an order messed up by the restaurant, or you accidentally forget something. never engage in conversation with them. Send them a prewritten message that they should contact DoorDash for a full refund. I remember when I was on my 3rd or 4th ever delivery, the KFC fucked up someone's order. When I dropped it off to the customer they started yelling at me, and me being a newbie I didn't know what else to do besides go back to the restaurant and correct her order. NEVER DO THIS. I wasted an hour and 15 minutes, drove 15+ miles and got yelled at by some stupid whore, all for a measly $7. If you're in a large city, I would advise against delivering. Gas is too expensive to make a reasonable wage. IMO DoorDash is the worst delivering company to work for. I've had parts of my tip taken multiple times and know others who have experienced the same. They claim "100% of tips go to the driver" but the driver doesn't know what the customer is giving. They only know what they're getting. Long story short fuck doordash.
