Do Gaming Companies Listen? 08-07-2016, 01:53 PM
#1
Do you think that gaming companies really listen to their players' feedback?
I think that sometimes they do. They kind of have to at times. If most of their players are unhappy, then they're not going to stick around and keep playing. In general, though, they can't listen to every single bit of feedback or the games would be drastically different constantly.

If the game has a large enough revenue stream in itself, then I would say the companies tend to not care about the players' opinions as much.

I'd like to believe they do.
A lot of creators have the ability to implement games via workshop on TF2, so they've basically made us make the shit then sold it to us.

shit, looks like everyone else already said what I was going to.
If a company can get damaged really badly by their player base, they will probably listen.
However, any major gaming series (cod, battlefield, any yearly sports game, ect) really dosen't care because they know people are gonna buy their games reguadless.

Rule of thumb for me is if they have an active Twitter that isn't bot responses or they stream their games on Twitch, they probably listen to feedback. Doesn't always work, most of the time the rule stays true though.

They do, if the voice is loud enough they may even make changes accordingly.
