Do Amazon check Returned Items thoroughly? 07-25-2019, 11:42 AM

Was wondering if for example, I ordered one GPU and returned it but put my old one in the box, would they notice? Do they plan to sell the item as refurbished?

Whether they check, depends on the magnitude of claims. If they're Inundated, most likely they won't.
To be safe, why not opt for the wrong Item received method?

I think it depends on what the customer says is the reason for a return. If its a simple case of not right or no longer needed it will be sent for grading and may end up on Amazon warehouse deals. If claimed its faulty i would assume its then sold into pallet loads of random items.
I dont think Amazon have the man power or facilities to test all the different kinds of items that get send back.
I buy Amazon returns from a public auction that buy pallet loads and i often see graphics cards that clearly dont match the box.
