Some people go on crash diets to lose weight. There are so many fancy diets doing the rounds in social media. Is dieting healthy or unhealthy?

I think it is unhealthy to go on such diets without proper guidance of a nutritionist. I have seen some people getting medical issues after being on such diet programs.

Fortunately, I have never been in a situation where I had to watch my diet at any given time. My weight relative to my age and height was always within limits. But I guess it is important that dieting should be done only on the advice of an expert.

Each person has a unique body. I do not think it is a healthy trend for people to try to attain the body of models. It is ridiculous to do so. Each one should maintain a body shape that they are comfortable and happy about.

Since putting on extra weight during lockdown, I have started cutting down fats and calories to bring my body back to shape. No strict diet as such but have reduced intake of fatty foods and sugar and have started exercising regularly.

Dieting has to be done under the supervision of nutritionist. Otherwise it's dangerous.
